Job Summary

Our team directly supports **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s recently formed Joint Venture with Charter (JV name is Xumo). In this dynamic environment, our team manages the full spectrum of finance responsibilities supporting the initial launch and growth of this new venture. The JV finance team is currently a small group (4 FTEs) meaning the intern will be included in conversations with financial leadership (including JV CFO - Dan Goodwin). Given the nature of this project, this role will provide exposure across the Cable finance organization (given the partnerships sustaining this venture) and varied operational functions. With this being a new business, there are many growth opportunities for the intern to get involved with. Whether it be owning the development of operational metrics, getting direct FP&A experience or collaborating on strategic business cases, the intern will be an integral part of the team and encouraged to pursue new opportunities. This is an exciting time to join our team as we are still operating with a start up mentality. Our team is balancing creating and establishing financial processes with the need to move quickly through unchartered territory. Our team is the finance group supporting the recently formed Joint Venture with Charter (JV name is Xumo). The JV is an undertaking by **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Charter to develop and offer a next generation streaming platform. While this business will in many ways be driven by advertising, it is quite different from **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Advertising. This business is about services, but also about hardware: we'll be bringing a full-featured operating platform, new devices and Smart TVs with market-leading apps to customers across the U.S.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


Support the monthly forecast and close the process

Help develop the Long Range Plan and Budget for JV

Perform ad hoc analyses to determine operational drivers of financial performance

Collaborates with other department members on special projects.


Required Skills:

Studying business, economics, or related majorAbility to work both independently and in a team environment.


Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university

Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024, or Spring 2025.

Returning to a degree program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship

Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program

Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Pay:

The range for this role is $18-$20/hour and is based on the academic level of achievement and business structure:

Rising Sophomore: $18/hour

Rising Junior: $19/hour

Rising Senior: $20/hour
