Director Strategy Development Are you an innovative thinker who can easily prioritize and communicate key points quickly? Do you want to have a direct impact on customers and the overall business strategy? Do you enjoy managing multiple projects at the same time with the responsibility to keep them on-time and on-budget? Do you feel that your skills of thinking outside the box and working across multiple teams, functions, etc. are in need of a new home? If so, DHL Supply Chain has the opportunity for you.Job DescriptionSupports Strategic Development agenda of strategic and business planning, product development, mergers & acquisitions, strategic alignment of DHL Supply Chain's businesses and various projects.Supports DHL Supply Chain Americas businesses by providing expert support (process, tools, facilitation, and challenge) for strategic/business planning and acquisition/strategic relationship activities, working closely with sector heads on day-to-day basis providing strategic perspective and, if agreed, assist in delivery of critical business plan initiatives, and defining, assessing, and developing strategic products for deployment in the businesses.• Develop/enhance and facilitate implementation of the business planning process.• Assist division and sector teams in developing strategies and business plans.• Lead/assist division and/or sector teams in completing agreed key strategic actions.• Monitor strategic progress and facilitate successful completion of targeted actions.• Define, assess, and develop products that will accelerate revenue and profit growth.• Lead the development of a systematic process to manage product development, from idea creation to delivery and ongoing performance monitoring.• Manage acquisition and partnering strategies/objectives• Identify and vet target companies that increase the scope and scale of DHL Supply Chains' capabilities, including industry domain experts, consultancies, and financial advisory firms.• Assists with establishment and growth of strategic partnerships.• Identify potential acquisition targets• Assist with modeling and valuation• Lead due diligence process• Preparing projects papers and presentations.Required Education and Experience• Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Logistics or related field required• MBA, preferred • 7 years of experience with real supply chain issues for company(s) in one of our sectors required• 5 years of progressive experience in at least one of the following: strategic planning/analysis, account management, or acquisitions/strategic partnerships required• Experience as a management consultant or investment banker or working in a strategic role in supply chain function, preferred                                          Our Organization has a business casual environment and focuses on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
