Employee - Labor Relations Manager
Duties: Administers and assists management in the application of human resources policies and activities. Administers and interprets labor agreements, assists with contract negotiations, investigates third-step grievances and meets with the union to resolve or respond to those grievances. Investigates both internal and external charges of violations of Medical Center policies, collective bargaining agreements, state and federal laws governing employment practices, and responds to appropriate agencies. Assists the Director, Labor Relations in reviewing and revising Medical Center human resources policies, and in the development of strategies for positive union engagement, and acts as the primary point of contact with union representatives for assigned bargaining units. Assists with HR initiatives to develop and maintain positive employee relations and workplace morale.
