Responsibilities
The Virtual Clinic Operations Associate is the first point of contact for patient care, in a virtual-first clinic, with no brick-and-mortar facility. This role encompasses many traditional front-end clinic operations with remote patient contact such as registration, scheduling for telehealth and in-home visits, internal and external referrals, updating demographics in the EHR, and data management.
In addition, the Virtual Clinic Operations Associate collaborates closely with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Behavioral Health Case Managers and Humana associates across a wide range of roles. This role is a vital bridge between the insurance plan and clinic team, in support of member health and well-being. There is opportunity to participate in cross-team collaboration and to lead efforts in project management, process improvement, and other initiatives to support the clinic.
The ideal candidate will exhibit key professional and personal traits such as: the ability to quickly adapt in an evolving and dynamic environment, the confidence to get things done independently and to 'own' projects and processes, and the resilience to navigate ambiguity and rapid growth. This candidate will enjoy moving beyond the traditional clinic setting to a truly cross-functional role, acting as the bridge between patients and staff, clinical and nonclinical, payor and provider.
This position will report directly to the Director of Clinic Market Leadership, with support from Operations.
