The position is a Bay Area Senior Systems Administrator focusing on projects related to Active Directory, Red Hat Directory Server, and LDAP.
Responsibilities
Working in a Senior Systems Administrator role with Microsoft Active Directory, Red Hat Directory Server (RHDS), SunOne LDAP, and Network Information Server (NIS).
Providing day-to-day operations support and working with project managers to implement directory solutions to Application and Engineering teams.
Produce LDAP schema designs and operational plans for populating, maintaining, operating, deployment and enhancement of various forms of Enterprise Level Directories.
Proficient with common aspects of directory design (namespace, schema, security, topology, etc.) and be practiced in Schema Extension, Migration and Merging Strategies.
Ability to translate high-level business requirements into meaningful and innovative technical solutions.
Proficient project execution skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology team members, including the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
Able to work weekends and on-call.
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in administering Active Directory in an enterprise class environment
Extensive experience in Microsoft Active Directory/DNS/Windows Server 2003/2008 required.
Strong scripting languages including PowerShell, VBScript, and other Shell scripting.
Experience with PKI Certificates and SSL required.
Experience in LDAP/RHDS and Linux OS platform required.
Experience with Virtualization preferred
Experience in customer-focused environment and working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment.
Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management.
Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners.
Ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
General understanding of network and database technologies.
Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Engineering, Computers Science, or related field of experiences.
Technical certifications such as MCP, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE preferred
