Community Lawyering Adjunct Faculty 2018-2019
The candidate will have the direct supervision of law students enrolled in the Community Lawyering Centers in their representation of clients. Will accepts cases involving a broad range of legal issues including family law, housing, consumer, governmental benefits, and other areas. Adjunct faculty work closely with faculty from the College of Law to assure that a quality instructional environment is provided for the students and effective legal representation is provided to our clients. Assist in the presentation of classroom instruction and the creation of instructional materials. These services will be in addition to the direct supervision of students. Be a critical part of the College of Law’ learning community, and will be involved in curricular and co-curricular activities and programs relating to student learning and professional formation throughout law school. Because the educational program will strive for excellence in developing practice-related competencies, adjunct faculty members will be expected to follow the instructional and curricular practices of the College of Law, including use of the Canvas Learning Management System, learning outcomes, multiple assessments, and research and writing modules within a course, as appropriate, with support from other faculty as well as research librarians.
