Compliance Officer
The candidate will work under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer and oversee the Agency’s overall Compliance Program. As the Compliance Officer s/he will function as an independent and objective agent reviewing and evaluating organizational compliance issues/concerns. Ensures that the Board of Directors, management and employees maintain consistent compliance with rules and regulations set by regulatory agencies, company policies, procedures and ethical principles. Act as staff to the Board of Directors and CEO by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance/ethics efforts. Provide guidance to the Board of Directors and Senior Management team on matters relating to compliance. Play leadership role in cross-functional compliance teams and working groups that plan, execute and monitor activities associated with compliance/issues matters to enable company to consistently achieve high levels of compliance with all relevant laws and regulations creating a culture of integrity. Develop strategies for continuous improvement of the company compliance functions, including implementing best practices through external assessments and benchmarking. Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of company’s Compliance program, including Standards of Conduct. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending investigative procedures. Coordinates, develops and conducts educational and compliance training programs, in conjunction with Human Resources and Training Department. Collaborates with program directors and CFO on Agency billing requirements (documentation and service delivery) and the False Claims Act. Provides compliance reports to the Board of Directors, Agency Compliance Committee and Senior Management as directed or requested. Oversees external and internal audits in according with company’s annual work plan and provides reports of audit findings to the Board of Directors, CEO, Program Directors and Compliance Committee.
