Law Librarian IV
The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-quality service for reference, circulation, interlibrary loan, research education, teaching, educational technology, and other library matters directly affecting library patrons. Will work closely with the Director of the Law Library in areas such as collection development, planning, budgeting, teaching, assessment, communication, marketing, security, and personnel. Must have M.L.S. in library information science or equivalent, from an ALA-accredited institution and J.D. from an ABA approved law school. Demonstrated supervisory, management, or leadership experience, either formal or informal required. Should have 4+ years of experience working in legal reference services. Must have experience in the use of Microsoft Office, research, teaching, communication, and library technology systems (e.g., Google Apps for Education, Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, LibGuides, Ex Libris Alma). Experience or interest in educational technology planning, implementation, instruction and assessment required. Must have academic law library experience, or relevant equivalent experience. Preferred: Experience working in circulation. Experience or interest in offering innovative services. Experience or interest in providing professional development opportunities for direct reports. Knowledge of foreign, international, and comparative law resources.
