Description

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer coordinates software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Ensures proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


US Citizen required to obtained Government Clearance

Ability to assist and be in the 24x7 support on-call rotation

Familiarity with network connectivity and communication protocols

Knowledge of internet protocols, such as: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, FTP, SFTP, AS2 , TLS , SSH

Familiarity with Encryption

Previous experience in 2nd tier support roles.

Bachelor's degree or Associates Degree or 5 years of Experience


Preferred Qualifications


Mainframe JCL & CA7, CA Service Desk experience

Able to troubleshoot technical issues to ensure proper root cause determination.

Understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, load balancers, etc.

Experience of network and server monitoring and alerting

Experience of working with offshore development partners and global technology teams

Able to communicate technical topics to non-technical audience
