More details are mentioned in this design doc: [login to view URL]
Please note that we have backend developers who will deploy the server behind a reverse proxy and load-balancer in the cloud, we need qualified developers for the front end work. If you would like to be involved in back end work, please indicate so.
Motivation:
1. We would like to create tools for podcast creators.
2. We would like to create a browser-based text and audio editing tool (very much like [login to view URL] or [login to view URL]).
Milestone #1
1. A basic interface like [login to view URL] or speechnotes.co.
2. Minimal design on the client-side - whiteboard over which text appears. We have a WebSocket
3. based STT server running in AWS. STT currently lacks punctuation and accuracy.
4. No user authentication/login is required.
5. We will provide a sample client code.
6. Simply send the audio data to the server and render the text returned.
Milestone #2
1. Modify the text on the fly just like [login to view URL] based on server results.
2. The server will convey WebSocket messages to delete, add, and modify the existing text. The client should be able to render the text accordingly.
3. Add pause/play/stop functionality. It should be possible to do any sequence of these operations in one session.
4. Code integration such that it is possible to bring the website up and down in AWS.
Milestone #3
1. User authentication.
2. Autoscaling on the backend side.
3. Ability to play the previous transcripts (text highlighting based on timestamps).
4. Maintain a catalog of previous transcripts.
5. Ability to edit the text and convey edits back to the server.
