Visiting Angels, the premier homecare agency in Cleveland is seeking Caregivers/STNA's/CNA's/HHA's to assist seniors with their activities of daily living (ADL's) in their homes in the following communities:
Euclid, South Euclid, Cleveland Hts., Shaker Hts., Pepper Pike, Garfield Hts, Maple Hts., Independence, Walton Hills, Richmond Hts, Warrensville, Bedford Hts, and other nearby communities.
Day, night, evening and weekend shifts available immediately. Shifts range from 4 hour minimums to 12 hours. 8-12 hour shifts are need all 7 days.
Duties include: meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry, medication reminders, personal hygiene assistance, incontinence care, transportation (driving clients to appointments); shopping/errands and companionship.
Proficiency in using the following is a definite plus: Walker, wheelchair, shower chair, bedpan, bedside commode, hoyer lift, hospital bed, gait belt
Ability to pivot transfer and use a sliding board is another added plus for candidates
Job Requirements
Must be at least twenty-one years old and have a minimum of a high school diploma. Must have a minimum of two years of verifiable work experience as a Caregiver/HHA/STNA. Must display good emotional health and have a compassionate concern for seniors. Must be able to physically tolerate standing, bending, stooping, etc. Must be able to read, follow written instructions, and legibly document care given. Must have (3) satisfactory references from previous employers. Should demonstrate flexibility in acceptance of assignments and a cooperative service attitude toward the care recipient, family members, and co-workers. Valid driver’s license required.
Must be skilled at using a walker, wheelchair, shower chair, bedpan, bedside commode, hoyer lift, hospital bed, gait belt. Required to be highly experienced at safely utilizing transfer techniques, i.e. pivot transfer, sliding board, use of gait belt etc.
