Microstrategy Consultant/Developer

Basic Requirements:
Experience with reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, OBIEE or Cognos and/or
Experience using data movement/etl tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, SSIS, IBM Websphere
Experience with a wide variety of RDBMS technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Netezza, DB2)
Strong data profiling skills (SQL skills a must)
Able to lead others and have strong communications skills
Strong analytical, problem identification and solving skills
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in computer science or related technical field
5-10 years of experience in business intelligence/data warehousing
Preferred Qualifications:
Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse experience strongly desired
Experience architecting, designing, developing, and deploying data warehouse/ data mart / reporting solutions
Experience managing unit, QA, and performance testing including developing test plans, test scripts, execution, issue tracking, and defect resolution.
Experience leading requirements workshops with the business sponsor/end users to understand and document requirements
Web development experience a plus (Java / .Net)
Understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts (Inmon/Kimball), designs, and usage of data warehouses and data marts
Experience working with business sponsor to ensure BI/DW efforts meet business requirements
Collaborate/support Project manager/solutions architect in the management of project tasks and activities
Ensure project activities are results oriented, performance driven and conform to best practices and process. Employ analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to improve the overall business experience using the tools developed
Effective oral and written communication skills
Mentoring of junior staff members
