Visiting Angels of Port Orchard, WA is now hiring 5-10 reliable, compassionate, and dependable In-Home Senior Caregivers to join our team in Kitsap County. Shifts are available from Gig Harbor, to Bainbridge Island and everything in between!
We are a locally owned and operated home care franchise dedicated to ensuring that seniors are able to age gracefully in the place that they call home. We love adding new angels to our team!
In-Home Senior Caregiver Responsibilities:
• Provide essential care to the client
• Provide joyful companionship for the client while on duty
• Assist in meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen after meals
• Assist the client to live in a clean, healthy, and safe environment
• Observe the client's general physical, emotional, and mental condition, and report all changes in condition
• Keep appropriate records of all activity while in the client’s home
• Provide a sense of security for the client and protect the client as much as possible from any harm resulting from the debilitating effects of his or her illness
• Assist client as needed, excluding medical care
• Communicate availability to work with the Office on a weekly basis or as required
Job Requirements
Minimum of one year of caregiving experience
Must be willing to work in Kitsap County
Must have a strong sense of professionalism and must be reliable
Valid Washington Driver's License REQUIRED
Must have personal, reliable transportation to and from shifts
Must be 18 years of age or older
Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
Must comply with all agency policies
Dementia/Alzheimer's experience beneficial but not required
CNA or HCA or willing to take course and earn certification
