Description
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress
- Responsible for specifications, technical analysis, technical designs, coding, unit testing, build delivery and performing feasibility studies for product development projects
- Some system support/maintenance after hours may be required
- Creating and maintaining required database queries, stored procedures, triggers, tables, database design, etc.
- Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of coding standards
- Performs code review and peer reviews
- Supports QA by participating in test plan reviews, trage meetings and bug fixes
- Works and collaborates with Project Managers and others to ensure the development team has the necessary information needed to proceed; this can include business requirements, functions requirements, mockups, etc.
- Assign tasks to other developers during projects as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- At least an Associate's Degree
- At least 5 years' experience in web design and web architecture
- At least 5 years' experience designing, coding, testing, and documenting enterprise level applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years work-related experience with HTML, DHTML, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript and .NET/C# Technologies
- Strong working knowledge of Windows NT, Windows 2003, .NET framework, IIS 4 or greater, JAVA and experience creating COM objects and DLL's for MTS
- Strong working experience in SOA environments with working knowledge WCF
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, T-SQL, Sybase, and SQL Server
- Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques
- Proven track record of delivering quality, missing critical, enterprise systems
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Financial/Brokerage institution experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
