GENERAL SUMMARY
An Inventory Control Lead performs an important role within the supply chain team by supporting the Manager with achieving organizational service and inventory management expectations.  The IC Lead is a skilled associate who has obtained super-user knowledge of all areas of warehouse management system (WMS) directed processes and inventory flow between WMS and Jesta.  The IC Leads is focused on coordinating activities with associates to facilitate the movement of tasks and goods through a defined set of processes on the operating floor.  

 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Leads, motivates, and directs up to 25 associates in completing defined tasks and achieving established goals
*Responsible for working with department leadership to coordinate the tactical activities of hourly associates to support inventory movement and flow
*Engage partner departments and associates in problem-solving activities to assure service outcomes meet expectations
*Identify, communicate, and resolve obstacles and exceptions with appropriate operational partners and site leadership
*Functional subject matter expert in all areas of WMS directed processes
*Communicates problems/concerns, especially regarding safety, security, building control, or personnel, to the appropriate DC Supervisor and/or Area Manager
*Promotes safety at all times and reports safety violations to the appropriate DC Supervisor and/or Area Manager *Crosstrain in orderto effectively operate and assist within the othe departmetns based on the needs of the business
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
 
*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership
*Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, propose resolutions, and communicate the outcome to the appropriate operational partners and site leadership
*Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload requirements
*Expert understanding of system directed processes, with a strong understanding of inventory flow across all systems
*Advanced PC skills, including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
 
*Ability to perform duties independently, and lead others as a team
*Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time and sometimes working in extreme temperatures *Strong oral and written communication skills
 
 
EXPERIENCE:
*2-3 years' experience in a leadership role; preferably in a DC environment
*Minimum of 1 year experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred), Jesta,  and WCS software
*Expert understanding of RF processes with strong ability to train new and existing associates
*Advanced PC skills; including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
 
EDUCATION:
*High school diploma or equivalent
