The Role

The SeniorSoftware Development Engineer in Test role at

Willis Towers Watson serves as an integral member of a global Agile

Product Development team to design, build, test and deliver Willis Towers

Watson’s technology products to our external or internal clients. This role

works with Willis Towers Watson’s proprietary and/or industry-leading systems

and applications and ensures that these are designed and built according to

agreed-upon technical specifications and quality

standards.

Uses the Product Backlog toremain highly flexible and respond to changing realities and requirements.

Adds business value bydelivering working products, with quality and on time.

Works with the team inassessing opportunities to strengthen definition of done and get us closerto delivering working software at the end of every sprint.

Self-organizes and appliescross-functional competencies to create high-value products.

Works with other teammembers to adopt Agile Scrum with the goal of improving softwaredevelopment practices and creating high standards of work.

Advocates improving qualityduring all stages of software development.

Constant pursuit ofimproving team velocity and efficiency, allowing effective releaseplanning and diagnostics for the team.

Creates high qualityacceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards that helpthe scrum team understand the value of the user story from the user'sperspective.

Maintain ISO9001 andISO27001certification.

Achieve all Green Marks inthe Willis Towers Watson Professional Excellence Review.

Helps support and maintainthe goal of continuous and daily automated test execution and reviewfailed tests.

Works with the scrum team inidentifying appropriate tests to automate that will get the team closer tothe goal of delivering working software to production at the conclusion ofevery sprint.

Integrates best practicesinto the daily norm including code maintainability and follows designspattern including modularity, reusability, etc.

The Requirements


Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering
Proficiency in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Demonstrate a strong understanding of SDLC process. Experience in Agile/Scrum framework is required.
Creates test scenarios from functional requirements and/or User Stories using the Gherkin format
Converts manual test steps into repeatable automated tests for Regression testing
Manages time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations
Working knowledge of the following technologies: JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery, CSS, XLM, Angular, load balancing, single/multi tenancy, and rational database design concepts
Fluency in the programming language C#
Intermediate knowledge of using development tools such as Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio
Intermediate SQL skills in tuning/optimization of T-SQL and database optimization Intermediate knowledge in profiling an application and profiling concepts
Intermediate skills in API based automated test development
Intermediate Skills in Unit Testing
Intermediate knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing
Advance skills in writing T-SQL
Advanced skills in UI automated test development
Advanced knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing
Advanced Skills in Unit Testing (moq'ing frameworks)
Deeply understands practices of agile software development
Knowledge and/or exposure to MS Azure and NoSQL
