Vice President, Litigation
Duties: Manage the Company’s docket of global litigation and investigation matters, working strategically with outside counsel, internal legal teams, and the business to minimize litigation risks. Collaborate with the SVP, Intellectual Property to provide global, strategic counsel to the business regarding IP litigation risk-based assessments for the Company’s robust current and future development pipeline. Manage an extensive bench of outside counsel, driving and ensuring efficient execution of litigation strategies. Work closely with finance, government affairs, corporate communications, and investor relations teams to ensure that appropriate proactive disclosures and communications are made regarding litigation. Work cross-functionally with other senior legal team members, departments and project teams (securities, commercial, clinical, government engagement, regulatory) to optimize outcomes for the company. Manage and address e-discovery issues in a manner that is efficient, effective, and minimizes impact to the business. Oversee government and sensitive internal investigations.
