You'll be joining the talented Demand Media creative team as visual support. This role could include asset creation, designing web-based ads or email & print executions, as well as drawing up new design elements for our top websites and apps, including: eHow.com, Livestrong.com, Cracked, Society6, Saatchi Art, and studioD.
Internships at Demand Media are hands-on, fast moving, and a lot of fun. We’re looking for entrepreneurial and creative students with a make-it-happen spirit. You must be a creative, detail-oriented, problem-solving designer. Show us your best.
Responsibilities:
Design experiences that are simple, elegant, and intuitive
Participate in design team brainstorms & ideations
Work effectively with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Engineers to learn about the design and product life cycle
Give and get feedback from other designers to consistently raise our quality bar
Requirements:
A strong design portfolio with a range of UX/UI examples is a must
Mastery of skills with the common tools of the trade (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Pen and Paper)
Crazy, innovative ideas
The ability to make informed choices and to clearly articulate your design decisions
Understanding of design patterns and best practices (including mobile-first design)
Organization and collaboration
A sense of humor!
