These efforts will be ongoing beyond the 2016 academic year. Works with the marketing arm of the university to develop a long-term marketing plan for the federal sector. Conducts market research in the public and private sectors to see what needs exist for education and training outside of the traditional J.D. and L.L.M. programs. Surveys existing law school faculty to see what courses, modules, workshops, or other educational products they have currently available, or can be created to meet market needs. Examines collaboration opportunities between law and other school/college faculty to create new educational products. Matches these educational topics and products with existing market needs. Conducts research into online delivery and content needs, including continuing professional education. Surveys university’s existing online infrastructure, instructional design expertise, and technologies currently employed by schools and departments. Explores constraints of federal and state government and private company network systems to see if university’s current delivery technologies are compatible with these systems. Investigates requirements of schools, departments, and accrediting bodies concerning the requirements of distance learning certification programs to count as academic credit toward a graduate degree program in a professional school or university department at the university. Investigate and create a project plan on requirements to get university’s listed on the appropriate GSA schedule(s) to allow it the maximum ease of winning awards for government contracts in education and training. Establish sub-contracting relationships with universities and other institutions currently listed on GSA schedules to create “win-win” opportunities. Begin discussions with the Bush and Mays schools to establish a partnership focusing on meeting the needs of executive leaders in government service. Establish and strengthen relationships with representatives within government agencies. Help to plan a marketing campaign for partnership products aimed at government agencies.
