Our Trading Platforms group
is looking for a lead UX Researcher with a deep understanding and empathy for the people we design and build for. The position is well-suited for an organized individual who is a curious and critical thinker, a proactive problem solver and a strong communicator. The ideal candidate is constantly finding ways to improve our products by taking a fluid and iterative approach to conducting research. You will make an immediate impact, work with the latest technology, guide our product and design strategy and enjoy a competitive compensation package

You will Be Responsible for :
Guiding and directing research projects across the trading platforms team, including planning, managing and running research sessions
Working with the product and design teams to formulate research questions and then execute and manage research projects
Establishing a user research process and evangelizing user research at IBKR
Guiding the research process start to finish and ensuring that we deliver valuable business and strategic insights
Participating in and providing input into sprint planning and setting the product roadmap
Creating and maintaining a user pool for user research of targeted client segments
Organizing and synthesizing findings and insights and creating a user research knowledge base
Understanding our product and brand, and being a champion for user research during the product and design process
You are someone who has :
Minimum 5 years of UX research experience
Undergraduate degree in Human-Computer-Interaction, Computer Science, Design, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology and/or equivalent field of study
Experience designing and executing multiple types of qualitative and quantitative research
Experience doing hands-on, primary research including survey design
Experience using research findings to inform strategy
Ability to create solutions to answer complex research questions
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to deliver high quality work consistently and quickly
Nice to Have’s
7 years’ of relevant experience
Master’s degree or PhD in related field
Experience coding with R, STATA, SPSS or other relevant statistical programming language
Experience with Python/Pandas or SQL
Experience applying statistical analysis methods such as regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests
Experience conducting interviews, focus groups, card sorting, concept testing and usability testing
