Graduate Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program places new associates from law firms at public interest law agencies in Illinois, where they are typically paid by their hiring firm to work for 300 hours between graduation and joining the firm. The Fellow will work on a wide and diverse range of issues depending on the agency where they serve. Will also work on transactional matters such as policy development and analysis, advocacy, impact litigation and more. Will work with the Pro Bono Litigation Clinic that provides a real-world opportunity to engage in the actual representation of clients in both state and federal courts. Will draft pleadings, argue motions, participate in settlement conferences, status calls, depositions, discovery, trial proceedings, and appeals. May have an opportunity to work on foreclosure mediation, foreclosure litigation, civil rights and police brutality cases, innocence projects, and appeals.
