Research Contracts Officer I
The candidate reviews, negotiates, and executes all research contracts and subcontracts with federal, state, and private organizations in accordance with firm policies and procedures. Consults with the Assistant General Counsel for IP and Research as required. Develops and negotiates sub-recipient agreements with external funding agencies. Analyzes research contract and agreement structures and determines the legal implications for post awards. Interprets university procedures and appropriate governmental regulations regarding research contract activities. Assists senior level administrators in designing and/or evaluating proposed research contracts. Provides contractual guidance to faculty and research staff regarding proper funding for post awards. Performs other job-related duties as required.
