Job Summary

As a Senior Engineer on the DevHub team, you will focus on creating visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks like React. The DevHub team is a small, but fast paced team of highly motivated individuals whose main motive is to make the life of a developer easy. DevHub running on Backstage framework provides a one-stop shop for DevOps Engineers to easily discover and view all applications across their organization, simplifying the process of exploration, monitoring and running applications from a single pane of glass.

Job Description

Who does this Senior Engineer work with?

The team of frontend developers working on the DevHub portal are a diverse group that have strong backgrounds in React, TypeScript, and other full stack technologies. They are passionate about delivering outstanding features for the portal and are committed to leveraging the latest technologies to make the portal more efficient and user friendly.

You will also work closely with the intake team to understand the needs and requirements of the portal and is responsible for development and maintenance, ensuring that it is performing reliably and up to the latest standards. The developers are also tasked with introducing new features and functionality into the portal iteratively to make it a more comprehensive solution.

The DevHub team is constantly evaluating the latest trends in the industry to ensure that the portal is as up-to-date and efficient as possible and are committed to delivering ground breaking solutions and keeping the portal ahead of the curve along with providing comprehensive documentation and support for users.

What are some interesting problems you'll be working on?

In your role, you will stitch data together that is spread across multiple systems to generate the bigger picture for the DevOps teams. This includes working with various source of data across **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and generate solutions to collate and render the discovered data in the portal.

You will also be analyzing usage metrics to identify avenues to improving site usability and reliability. Evaluate new code releases for basic reliability and systems integration support, providing guidance to QA teams who will perform functional and load testing.

What You'll Bring:


7 years of full stack development experience with a focus on front end development, especially React.

Experience writing core programming languages such as Golang, Ruby or Java

Deep knowledge of UI / UX design and development standard processes.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC design patterns.

Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools like Concourse

Good communicator and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies

Great design and problem-solving skills.

Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution

Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets.
