Profile

Job Description To perform and take responsibility for Business Intelligence tasks and activities relating to new / ongoing reporting application development and production support in. Conceptual design and implementation of the reporting system and performing analyses with regard to the operation and utilisation of the development environment
Management of the deployment, maintenance, and user support of the reporting / data access tool(s)
Definition of standards, procedures, and processes for the utilisation, maintenance, and administration of the reporting of development environment
Data modeling
Keeping a version of the reporting tool / data access tool in production that is under support by the tool vendor
Administration of the reporting tool in development, test, prelive and production
Management of security aspects of the reporting environment
Constant collection of and reflection on the feedback from the user community
Sending and following up enhancement requests for the reporting tools to the manufacturers
Production launch of new or updated components of the reporting development environment
Perform reporting testing and quality assurance for reports delivery
Support/consulting for report developers in reporting tool language / best practices
Desired Skills & Experience
• Bachelors or equivalent 4 year degree in field related to position & years experience in software application development
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development cycle
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, PL/SQL and data access / reporting tools
• Strong knowledge in Unix/Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Strong knowledge of front to back investment banking / capital markets business processes
• Proficient in Weblogic and Fusion Middleware Administration
• Knowledgeable in data transformation, data integration and data migration
• Working experience in the financial industry
• Self-motivated and a team player with good problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills at all levels
