Profile

Manage a team of Application Architects and Database Administrators to design and oversee implementation of Dairy Farmers of America’s (DFA) business applications. They will also ensure that support documentation is maintained, and that each application maintains an active support model. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor project performance Design, test, implement, and document user training/support and maintenance of new and existing applications and data management systems Oversee the day-to-day activities of the application and database services team Address application performance issues in a structured and timely manner Oversee the deployment schedules for all application upgrades and transformations Develop process quality metrics for evaluating the performance of business applications and systems Monitor application architectures to ensure they meet availability, security, and recoverability objectives Recommend and support Application Performance Management, Database Management, and relevant deployment and maintenance toolsets Maintain awareness of new industry developments and forecasts future needs Maintain a strong understanding of technology and its application to achieve business objectives Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications and database systems, including 24/7 on call coverage as required Maintain the IT support process documentation for all business applications Perform detailed end-to-end business process analysis and document core system processes and related applications Responsible for vendor management The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
