THE TEAM
Our Business Technology (BT) team is Zuora's internal engineering organization, responsible for creating technology experiences that connect our teams, drive business alignment and build a stronger, more collaborative work “place.” With a cloud-first approach, we empower our global ZEOs with increased productivity and self-service to enable company growth, scale and flexibility while hardening our security and compliance posture.
YOUR MISSION:
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and optimizing Zuora’s technical business processes. You will work with management and business teams to help identify significant process automation & optimization opportunities that will enable Zuora to establish the next generation of tools that drive transformation of the business. The team consists of talented individual contributors that come together to always get the job done. The team is skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of areas which allow for new process implementations to take place.
The focus and main objective of this position is to build positive relationships with the business partners to obtain in-depth understanding of the business, its strategy, and context in which the business operates, in order to identify business challenges, wants or needs. You will align to different business functions to learn the end to end of any given process to help the team identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions today.

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
Drive major process re-engineering efforts by conducting process design/requirements & workshops leading business owners to define future state processes.
Define and document business requirements, business processes, and success criteria that can be presented to management, business partners, development teams and vendors.
Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement, data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid.
Map existing technical processes; lead the definition of the technical processes to be.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in reporting and processes and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
Review and approve technical approach and design documentation.
Lead assessment of technical applications against process design criteria and makes recommendations based on technical fit, cost and implementation.
Collaborate with Business to define a roadmap to reach to-be state.
Review, recommend and implement industry standard tools as appropriate to deliver scalable solutions.
Support and align efforts to meet business partner needs.
Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results.
Utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates, Jira) to communicate updates and findings.
Facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, business partners, technical staff)
Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities.
Ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths.
Work independently, or with the Technical Lead, to coordinate and distribute build tasks to development and configuration engineers.
Manage deployment cycles from development, to UAT, and to production deployment
Develop and execute test plans.
Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance during the QA/UAT phase.
Meet with the project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
Be up to date on business system best practices and changes in the technology landscape.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, computer Science, or equivalent.
5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar positions, Business Analyst certification is a plus.
3 years of experience implementing CRM solutions from start to finish, including the creation of business requirements and other formal documentation
Experience with key performance indicators, and how they are developed, to help measure the success of our internal business partners
Strong expertise in Process Re-engineering, Process Optimization, Process Standardization and Automation
Ability to effectively communicate with our global business partners of varying levels of expertise, from peer to peer to executive staff.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
Ability to communicate business process to technical resources
Ability to create complex process flow diagrams, or flow charts, that demonstrate business or system process flow
Experience as a self-starter and motivated individual who is able to lead through ambiguous situations.
Experience with Agile development methodology
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Knowledge in scrum methodology is a plus.
Salesforce Administrator certification required, Service Cloud Consultant and Community Cloud Consultant certification is a plus
Proficiency in FinancialForce PSA, Marketo, and Gainsight is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge in pivot tables, vlookups, and visual basic for excel is a plus.
