TITLE: Sales & Service TechnicianLOCATION: Blooming Prairie, MNUNION: IBEW 949/311HEADCOUNT:2INTERNAL POSTING: 9/21/20 to 9/29/20SummaryTrouble Shoot, analyze and repair various types of circuits (POTS, Specials, Coin & DSL), premise equipment facilities (Residential & Business)Perform repair and preventative maintenance of cable using various types of test gear; perform routine maintenance of various plant elementsProvide information to complete jobs, work orders and service orders, coordinate with assignments as needed; correct maps and complete recordsInteract in internal/external customers in a professional manner to complete job assignments and attain service objectivesSupport and actively participate in promotion and sale of company servicesRequired Skills:Minimum 3 years of outside plant experience including DSL, VDSL Bonded Installation, repair including cable maintenanceMinimum 3 years POTs installation and repairs including cable maintenanceBasic understanding of electrical circuitry including digital technologyProficient in the installation, maintenance repair/use of various types of telecommunications systemsBasic understanding of the operation and maintenance of cable and network plant elementsSuccessful completion of at least 2-year post-high school training in related field or 2 years of related experienceBasic understanding of customers device interactions with internet services.Preferred certification in Comp TIA A or N Must be able to look at current processes/procedures and find better ways to improve the end resultMust be able to work independently; must be a team playerMust demonstrate strong oral and written communicationMust posses or be able to obtain MN Power Limited Technician license or be able to pass certification after apprenticeship programMust hold a valid DL
