Sr Accountant - Inventory Control

Profile

SUMMARY:

Duties include managing the reconciliation of daily/weekly inventory balances, enforcing inventory policies, identifying systematic and operational opportunities, analyzing issues to identify the root cause, and leveraging information to achieve results. This position will work closely with the Inventory Control team, EDI team, Project Management, Outside Warehousing, Transportation, FSQA, Contract Manufacturing, Cost Accounting, Sales/Marketing, and others as opportunities arise. In addition, this position is responsible for supervising a team, assisting in training and leading to a common goal. The ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and systematic/operational design, to develop strong relationships and to build a team are imperative to the success of this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting or an academic field directly related and essential to the job being evaluated.

Experience: 3 years experience.

Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills. Proficient systems knowledge to include but not limited to SAP Supply Chain processes including material production, order creation, shipment, receiving, and invoicing in an inventory environment, Strong Microsoft Suite with an emphasis in Excel.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: N/A

Supervisory: This position is responsible for helping supervise a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Travel: 1 to 5 domestic trips per year.
