We are looking for Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, entrepreneurial team player with a passion for web analytics and optimization across all platforms – desktop, mobile and mobile apps. As a member of the Cracked team, the Business Analyst will support the business by providing regular reports on KPIs as well as informing business decisions through ad hoc analyses. The job is based in Santa Monica, California.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the team expert/owner from a data/analytics perspective.
Support the product team by reporting on the results of site releases and ongoing multi-variate testing.
Construct and maintain daily/weekly and monthly dashboards to understand performance across all platforms – desktop, mobile and mobile apps.
Produce ad hoc analyses that will be presented to the leadership team and external parties.
Partner with analytics and BI to establish web tracking metrics as site features, new formats and business needs change.
Lead ad hoc analyses and development of new reports to understand the performance of existing and new features and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Requirements:
BA/BS from a top 4-year program, degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business or other quantitative field preferred or equivalent work experience.
2 years of experience with reporting and data analysis.
2 years of experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture)
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience using data to develop business insights and recommendations.
Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or website operations a plus.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
Be a highly motivated self-starter. Candidate must be comfortable working independently with minimal guidance.
Good communication skills with the ability to present quantitative results and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Confidently handle multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership skills and initiative; must establish credibility within teams as a knowledgeable, effective contributor
Must be a committed team player, able to work both independently and interact with executive management, and other staff members
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
Bachelor’s of Science Degree, Business Degree, or equivalent experience.
