Tenure Track Assistant Or Associate Professor
Duties: Will teach up to two courses each semester (depending on CFA contract) during the first year, and in the second year take on responsibilities of Coordinator of Labor Studies. Teach 3-4 courses per semester, engage in scholarly and/or professional activities, advising, and perform service to the department, college, university and the community. Receives released time every semester to conduct program work. Will be expected to teach our students to understand and apply theories of collective action, collective bargaining, and law as they intersect with race, gender, sexuality, national status, immigration, place, poverty, inequality, and policy in the context of a global political economy. Will have a commitment to teaching a diverse student population have demonstrated experience. Will have the teaching and professional experience needed to teach various of courses each semester in the Labor Studies program. An outstanding and ongoing record of professional activities and/or scholarship will be expected. Advising the student club, student advising, and significant service at the department, college, and university levels. Expected to perform administrative duties that pertain to the program, including promoting growth in the program, hiring and supervising teaching faculty, attending chairs council meetings, attending to reports on student learning outcomes, and conduct program reviews.
