Serves as a liaison between patient/family members and all hospital departments. ER Tech acts to identify and resolve problems as expressed by patients and other departments; acts to ensure that each patient receives all services to which he/she is entitled; performs as receptionist and performs general secretarial and clerical duties in the ER; performs other non-nursing duties which would enhance the visit of the patient in the ER. Under the direction of an RN, and as a valued member of the team, performs various patient care activities and related support services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of those served. Understands how patient needs may be different based upon age. Accepts and supports the mission, policies, and procedures of the Hospital, Patient Care Services and the assigned department, including the principles and actions of care delivery.','!*!
Previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting required
One to three months related experience and/or training required
