SUMMARY
Bering Global Solutions (BGS), a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Data Engineering SME for IRS Data Engineering Support contract in Lanham, MD. This position will act as the team lead and is responsible to lead the Sr. IT Specialist and meet with the customer weekly.  The SME/Lead is responsible for task order deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the Task Lead on IRS CADE2 and ITPE related Task Orders
Provide direct coordination with IRS COR for contracting related topics, including preparation of Monthly Status Reports, security training certifications, and updates
Technical Status Reports, Master Data Mappings, and Building Block Level Data Mappings.
Will serve as the data engineering resource for two ITPE Feature Teams
Serve as the lead architect for the CADE2 ADS Transcripts Project,
Data Validation O&M activities for filing season, and Financial Status Notice History (FSNH) Project
Participate in CADE2 data engineering activities and working groups to resolve major technical challenges, such as Hibernate data model changes for CADE2 and related HQL query access and design for a File Compare Tool (FCT) for CADE2.
Assist in the data model standards and compliance reviews for non-CADE2 projects, including FACTA, ICMM and IRTF to ensure naming and data type standards are adhered to.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
10 years’ experience
BBA Information Systems
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Microsoft Certified Professional
Full life-cycle system development experience,
including architecture design, data analysis, business requirements analysis, programming, and testing/data validation
Expert experience in data architecture, data modeling, and solutions engineering
Experience in Data & Systems Engineering, Data Analysis, Data Transformation and ETL logic, XML schema and SQL query development, and Microsoft Office
SQL Databases, IBM RRC and DNG, Altova XML Products, Visio, MS Excel; FEA Frameworks, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services industry standards (SOAP, UDDI, WS-I, and other W3C published standards)
Preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required. Remote work is authorized. However, the position requires the candidate must be within commuting distance of the Customer’s facility at the following address: Internal Revenue Service, 5000 Ellin Road, Lanham, MD 20706

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
