The Business Analyst, Level I will be responsible for supporting the analysis of client performance indicators, measuring and benchmarking our business operations and assisting with new product offering analyses. The incumbent in this position will utilize internal and external data sources, healthcare industry insight and current regulatory information in order to maximize efficiencies and support our client base.

Responsibilities

This position is for Enclara Pharmacia, a Humana company. Enclara, is a wholly owned hospice and palliative care pharmacy business acquired by Humana in 2021. Enclara is the nation's largest full-service pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) specifically for the hospice and palliative care sectors. Serving over 450 customers and nearly 100,000 patients nationally, Enclara works closely with hospices to reduce pharmacy costs, improve patient care and support caregivers through: digital innovations, flexible medication access, one-on-one clinical support, and excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Fulfill reports and data requests from internal customers for presentation to external stakeholders
Independently create customized reports using data requested by senior management and conduct ad hoc analyses where needed
Collect and organize financial or utilization data required for managerial and administrative decision making
Conduct data mining, conversion, data cleansing and production report generation
Assists in the analysis and implementation of strategic planning and development programs currently existing or as may be created for Enclara Pharmacia
Assist in tracking and trending key data points to ensure proper on-going accuracy of pricing models and archival of past analyses.
Carry out all other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications:


Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong data collection methods and analytics
Excellent analytical skills using large volume data
High-energy with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to articulate complex problems and be solutions-oriented


Education and/or Experience:


Finance, Information Systems or Statistics professional with a minimum BS/BA degree in a relevant field of study (or equivalent experience)
3 years of relevant experience.

3 years of experience working in a healthcare related field or PBM is preferred


Computer Skills:


Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to read/write queries in SQL
Experience with report requirements creation in data visualization tools such as QlikView, Tableau, or Power BI


COVID 19 Vaccination:

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
