Regional Attorney Trainer
The candidate develops and conducts regional and statewide legal training for Department of Social Services child welfare and legal staff. In selected counties assigned to this position, assesses needs and develops and conducts targeted training. Should have a Law degree, membership in the SC Bar, and 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney in family court, including child protection proceedings. Must have substantial knowledge of federal and state child protection statutes, related case law, court rules, and practices. Should be familiar with DSS programs and procedures. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both oral and written communications. Must have ability to develop and adapt curriculum, adjusting to different learning styles and using a variety of learning activities.
