POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as a liason between surgical services staff and patients and family members in the surgery waiting room. This position organizes the daily schedule to move patients and families through the perioperative process efficiently. This position serves to create a comforting environment for patients and families while they are visitors in the hospital.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must comply with all applicable policies and procedures, including, but not limited to: all departmental and hospital policies.
Must participate in performance improvement activities as requested.
Must assume information management responsibilities.
Must demonstrate planning by assisting with short and long term goals and objectives.
Must reinforce good customer relation techniques.
Must provide clerical support to surgical services as needed.
Must demonstrate knowledge of team dynamics and perform as an active member of the surgical team.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Level of Education
Preferred: High School diploma
Level of Experience
Preferred: At least 2 years of customer service related background
