GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Retoucher will be the technical storyteller who will properly interpret and elevate the creative vision through the retouching and color correction of imagery across all Marketing channels. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and well versed in Adobe Photoshop and Capture One and must have experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment. This person will have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with short turnarounds and will possess strong organizational and asset management skills. They make certain workloads are processed quickly and with great detail, guaranteeing the team output stays within established SLAs. In this role they will be expected to communicate and maintain our aesthetic and technical standards, workflows, and content management systems. Must be a self-motivated leader and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.

 

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor, Digital Assets (Open to remote, Columbus preferred)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Day to day responsibilities include retouching campaign, lifestyle and occasionally product photography.  *Using Adobe Photoshop, perform complex image work to match product samples for color accuracy, balance mood and lighting in both internally and externally shot images in different settings, and occasionally combine multiple exposures and replace large environments/backgrounds. *Possesses the knowledge and capability to flex their Retouching skills to encompass various categories, as business needs dictates. *Compensate for imperfections in damaged or incorrect product samples (ie: removing scratches and dents, cloning missing hardware, adjusting/swapping fabric colors to match swatches, etc.). *Own the full lifecycle process of all digital assets, working cross-org to develop workflows for asset ingestion, storage, and delivery to internal users. Maintain our digital asset system including file naming and metadata input. Ensure all digital assets and deliverables are organized and are available to internal stakeholders on a strict timeline. *While working under the pressure of tight deadlines, the Senior Retoucher will receive creative direction from Photographers, Designers, and Art Directors, and implement any changes necessary to achieve high quality results. *Coordinate with off-site retouching team members with markups to efficiently deliver and execute tasks. *Manage and develop daily/weekly workflows, prioritize workload, maintain, and build workload reporting, and provide status reports. *Commit to staying up to date with software upgrades and current trends in retouching and photography and continually work to streamline and improve workflows. *Responsible for training our retouching team members and updating existing training manuals as needed.
 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

*Professional experience with digital photography, raw image editing workflows and other digital file formats. *Superior knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CC and MAC OS. Understanding of Phase One Capture Pro image editing software. *Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for quality and the pursuit of artistic excellence. Keen eye for color and lighting, knowledge of retouching skin tone and matching color. *Experience with RGB and CYMK printing profiles. *Experience working with a digital asset management system (DAM) and/or maintaining server file structure and metadata input. *Excellent communication skills when collaborating with Art Directives and Creatives on a coherent visual style. *Experience working with large image volumes, batch image processing. Experience creating Photoshop actions and scripts is a plus. *Capable of working independently and as part of a large cross-functional team. Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. *Pro-active and able to show initiative *Excellent oral and written communication skills *Knowledge of current design trends and fashions. *Passion: We love what we do.
