We are hiring a Software Engineer II on **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Connectivity and Digital Content
. The team is evolving the connected device activation platform that drives connected device sales across Retail and BestBuy.com. The team also works on utilizing Microsoft Azure Spring Cloud PaaS to optimize the platform to ensure that we are serving the most relevant products for the customer.

About the Team:
The Connectivity and Digital Content team is a cross-functional team comprised of extremely talented individuals and contribute to all aspects of software development and delivery. We are a collaborative development team that uses Java and Spring along with many cutting-edge technologies to ensure we system can be able to perform at scale. We are highly collaborative and are committed to agility, code simplicity, and consistent high quality.

Responsibilities:
• Develop new systems based on the requirements of internal and external customers
• Adhere to schedules set by team, project and company
• Follow assigned project processes and adhere to best practices
• Follow direction from Senior Engineers and Architects on the design and development
• Review code changes/test plans with QA and assist with identifying areas of risk
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of software engineering
• Monitor, improve and fix production issues
• Solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Share expertise and effective practices with junior developers
• Ensure that all customer service needs have been met or exceeded

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of commercial software development experience using an object-oriented language required
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Web Services required
• Minimum 4 years of experience with database design and technologies
• Prior experience with design patterns and application preferred
• Prior experience with unit testing methods and test-driven development preferred
• Prior experience working on teams using Agile methodologies preferred
• 3 or more years of experience building web applications, such as Java, Groovy, Spring, REST
• Minimum 6 month of experience in Azure PaaS.
• Disciplined software engineering habits including TDD, Automated Unit Testing
• Experience with modern web application tools and technologies including RESTFUL Web Services, Spring Boot, Splunk, CI/CD
• Experience developing automated unit tests using Junit or Spock
• Experience using NoSQL data stores, such as Cassandra
• Experience with reactive programming frameworks, such as Spring WebFlux
