Your Mission
As a Team Lead with the Commission Junction engineering team, you will design and develop software according to your abilities, not your title. This is how we foster a flat organizational structure and encourage your professional growth. Wed rather see you try at the risk of failing than skip trying at all. Joining us in a more senior-level role, we will rely on you to be a natural mentor to others, challenge the norm, and help us elevate our game.

We are the technical backbone of this extremely successful and profitable company, so the business applications you help to create need to deliver the highest levels of quality and performance. Along with other Extreme Programming, Agile and SCRUM practices, youll be pair-programming (a.k.a. pairing), doing test-driven development and working very closely with our product owners on a daily basis.

Is this You?
* You relish the challenge of creating high availability, large volume systems
* You have a story or two of when youve challenged the norm (or when youve really really wanted to!)
* Youve got your Java / j2EE stuff down (JVM, JMS, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate) or youre a C#-er who doesnt mind making the transition
* Your OOP / OOD principles and methodologies are solid, as is your understanding of design patterns (Gang of Four)
* You have some experience with a dynamic scripting language such as JavaScript, Perl, Ruby or Groovy (we use Groovy)
* The sound of well-tested code makes you smile and the idea of a well-oiled test-driven development environment excites versus intimidates
* Youre a fan of Martin Fowler, Eric Evans or Robert C. Martin. In fact, one of their books is sitting on your shelf right now
* You have knowledge and experience with Internet technologies and protocols (e.g. HTML, XML, TCP/IP, HTTP)
* You have expertise or interest in learning about more advanced programming environments and concepts (e.g. J2EE, multi-threaded programming, high availability design etc.)
* You have some experience with code control systems and build tools (Maven/Ant)
* You have some knowledge of modern Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, TDD and XP
* You hold BS degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
