u003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eRole Summary:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThe u003cstrongu003eAuditor Iu003c/strongu003e will complete provider Medicare cost report desk reviews in adherence of CMS requirements, ensuring accurate reporting of statistical and financial data. Contribute to accurate and timely determination of settlements for providers under Medicare program to meet area objectives and reporting standards. You will maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers, including providers and counsel or selected representatives for questions on rate setting, status of cost report process, and technical questions relating to Medicare regulations or processes.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eIn this role you will:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003ePerform procedures related to acceptance/rejection of as-filed cost reports, tentative settlements, and desk reviews of providersu0026rsquo; annual cost reports. Prepare audit adjustment report as a result of desk review and forward to provider/representative for review.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eCompile and analyze data and establish interim payment rates for use in claims payment, Periodic Interim Payments, and level payment reviews. Initial setting up of new providers in Medicare system. Stay current on CMS regulations and WPS procedures. Train and assist new employees with daily activities. Ensure removal of all hard copy PHI/PII (personal health information/personal identifiable information) documentations from hard copy files and submission to proper database.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eParticipate in department work groups and provide input on new techniques and procedures to create efficiencies in daily work processes.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eVerify, ensure, and document self-attesting providers meet all provider-based requirements at all times.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eVerify electronic media contains proper IRIS files and can be opened on computer.
