We’re looking for a Social Media intern to join us at our Santa Monica, CA office.
You’ll Report To: Email & Social Marketing Manager
A typical day as the Social Media Intern might include:
Developing, writing, and posting daily on social media outlets including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Learning to develop social content that is optimized to engage with target audiences.
Conduct influencer research and outreach.
Monitor, listen, and respond to trends and specific users.
Learn to create and analyze weekly social media reports.
Collaborate and assist curatorial, design, and marketing team with thinking “social first” when creating content and campaigns.
Coordinating creation of social media assets and creative.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of editorial and promotional strategy/calendar.
Stay up-to-date with the evolving news and products related to social media platforms, channels, and trends.
Keep a finger on the pulse of social media and content marketing, and bring fresh perspective for new social strategies and ideas.
You’ll be successful if you possess the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, and vice versa, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and the demographics for each.
What You Have:
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Art History, Journalism, or Communications preferred.
1 years’ experience working in social media marketing.
Comfortable using major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google )
Experience with Photoshop and Google Analytics preferred
Experience with Live Streaming or social video preferred
Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task/multi-project
Ablility to use sound judgement and consult others when in doubt
Excited about and takes interest in art
You're creative and have an eye for design
