Duties

• Manage all aspects of healthcare litigation matters, including proceedings in arbitration.
• Engage directly with provider clients regarding revenue cycle management and complex reimbursement issues.
• Handle provider reimbursement matters involving both commercial and government payers.
• Negotiate and analyze managed care agreements and ensure compliance with coding and billing principles.
• Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and support staff on complex health law matters.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in healthcare litigation with a strong background in provider reimbursement.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and handling the full lifecycle of litigation matters.
• Ability to work independently with superior self-starter credentials and client relations skills.
• Residency in a city where the firm has an office, with requisite bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of provider coding and billing principles.
• Experience with managed care agreements and government/commercial reimbursement structures.
• Superior writing, communication, and client relations skills.
• Ability to engage directly with provider clients on sensitive revenue cycle issues.
