A law firm seeks a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney in Nashville, TN. This role offers early-career attorneys the opportunity to engage directly with complex family law matters. The position involves client interaction, financial analysis, and preparation for litigation and mediation alongside experienced counsel. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee by November 2026.

Duties

• Advise and coach clients on decisions throughout their case lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in strategy sessions to evaluate case status and options.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis related to marital estates.
• Draft, review, and refine pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Assist in preparation for hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee, or on track to pass the Tennessee Bar Examination in 2026.
• 0 to 4 years of legal experience; family law or litigation exposure preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Proactive mindset with the initiative to anticipate issues.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee, or on track to pass the Tennessee Bar Examination in 2026.

Skills

• Experience or coursework in family law, estate law, or finance preferred.
• Familiarity with financial statements, tax returns, or valuation concepts.
• Strong courtroom presence and comfort with oral advocacy.
