Duties

• Manage cases end to end: complaints, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Take and defend depositions, including those of treating physicians, experts, and adjusters.
• Argue motions and try cases in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
• Lead mediations and negotiate settlements to maximize client value.
• Develop case strategy with pre-litigation attorneys and case managers.
• Work with medical and economic experts to build and prove damages.
• Mentor associates and paralegals to enhance the litigation team.

Requirements

• J.D. and active license to practice law in Massachusetts, in good standing.
• 5-10 years of civil litigation experience.
• Personal injury experience, from either the plaintiff or defense side.
• Record of taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing a full caseload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills

• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with motor vehicle, premises liability, or trucking cases is a plus.
• Comfort with case management software and AI-assisted workflows.
