Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join its Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group in Austin, TX. The role involves supporting emerging growth companies and institutional investors with venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate matters. Candidates must have relevant big law firm experience and be admitted to practice in Texas or eligible to waive in.

Duties

• Manage and support complex domestic and cross-border transactional matters.
• Conduct legal due diligence and develop practical recommendations for clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and transaction documents.
• Structure transactions and provide strategic legal advice.
• Support deal execution and coordinate transaction closings.
• Analyze regulatory requirements and compliance considerations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client solutions.

Requirements

• 2-7 years of experience in Emerging Growth/Venture Capital.
• Experience with AmLaw 100 firm required.
• Strong academic background from a nationally recognized school.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas or eligible to waive in.
