A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate/Senior Associate with a minimum of six years of experience in investment management, private funds, and related corporate transactions to join their team in Hartford, Connecticut. The successful candidate will represent investment managers and sponsors in the formation and operation of various private funds and advise on regulatory and compliance matters.

Duties

• Represent investment managers in forming and operating private funds.
• Draft and negotiate investment management and fund-related documents.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Structure and document family office investments and services.
• Negotiate and document direct investments and co-investment transactions.
• Supervise junior attorneys and manage multiple workstreams.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience in relevant fields.
• Substantial experience with sophisticated fund and corporate documents.
• Ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bar admission in good standing in the practicing jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
