A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney specializing in Personal Injury Litigation to join their team in Monrovia, CA. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and other serious personal injury claims.

Duties

• Independently manage an active litigation caseload.
• Develop case strategy and analyze liability, damages, and exposure.
• Prepare case evaluations and reports for insurance carriers.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
• Work directly with clients, carriers, and retained experts.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and site inspections.
• Handle all phases of trial preparation.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of insurance defense experience.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar membership.
