A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney (Non-Trial) to join their team in Tampa, FL. This full-time position focuses on preparing cases for trial and supporting trial attorneys, with a strong emphasis on motion practice and discovery.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients and team members to enhance case outcomes.
• Engage in comprehensive motion practice and discovery processes.
• Preserve evidence and prepare cases for trial.
• Draft and review pleadings and legal documents.
• Coordinate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.

Requirements

• Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in civil litigation.
• Strong legal research skills and understanding of Florida law.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with depositions and expert witness preparation.
• Knowledge of Proposals for Settlements and Offers for Judgments.
• Medical knowledge pertinent to personal injury litigation.
• Proficiency in typing at least 35 words per minute.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
