Duties

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from initial consultation through trial and settlement negotiations.
• Manage personal injury defense cases, including premises liability, auto negligence, wrongful death, and foodborne illness matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Represent clients in mediations and court proceedings.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Engage in depositions, mediations, and court appearances as necessary.
• Communicate with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and explaining legal processes.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and personal injury statutes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state.
