This full-time, in-person role involves working on complex cases, including medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death. The attorney will have significant responsibility throughout the case lifecycle, from investigation to trial preparation.

Duties

• Conduct case investigation and development
• Draft pleadings and legal documents
• Perform legal research and writing
• Engage in motion practice
• Take and defend depositions
• Collaborate with experts and litigation professionals
• Communicate with clients and develop case strategy
• Prepare cases for mediation and settlement
• Participate in trial preparation and trials

Requirements

• Admission to the New York Bar
• Experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred
• Medical malpractice experience is a plus
• Deposition and/or trial experience preferred
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to take ownership of assignments and cases
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and professional judgment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Genuine interest in plaintiff-side litigation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
