Duties

• Work closely with partners on civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Manage written discovery and document production.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Meet annual billable hour expectations.
• Record and enter billable time daily.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Oregon State Bar; Washington State Bar admission is a plus.
• At least three years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience taking depositions and managing discovery.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to accurate and timely time entry.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Oregon State Bar.
